East of Federal Highway the salt air off the Intracoastal eats hinges, deadbolts and closers in a few seasons; in the older core the fifties frames have rotted at the slab; on the beach and in Palm Aire the condo unit doors and balcony sliders work all day. We fit stainless hardware, rebuild the frame, replace rollers and closers, and check the hurricane-zone approval before a new door is ordered, because Pompano Beach treats an exterior door as structural.

Kaminskiy-certified pros finish the job with a workmanship warranty.

Canal lots, seawalls and the condo buildings along the beach, with salt in the air every day. Hardware corrodes first, then the paint on the water side, then the sills and dock steps. The fix is stainless parts set with stainless screws, sealed end grain and sills reset to drain, and a condo scope in writing for the board.
Ranch houses from the 1950s to the 1970s with original doors, carports, fascia and soffits. Frames rot at the slab, doors bind, soffits stay wet behind clogged gutters, and termites find the posts. We rebuild the frames, rehang the doors to the original profile and get the water off the wood.
Golf communities, townhomes and the Palm Aire condos, in associations with busy unit doors and balcony sliders. Closers slam, latches miss, rollers flatten, pergola beams check at the ends. We fix them to the association's rules and put the finish in writing for the form.
Salt, humidity and storms. Within a mile of the Intracoastal the salt air pits hinges, strikes and deadbolts and chalks the paint on the water side; across the city the humidity swells wood doors and the summer rain finds every slider set without a sill pan. The house is often fine; the hardware, the seals and the wood edges are not, and those are small jobs when they are caught early.
Doors, hardware, trim, drywall, fences, dock steps, rot, caulk and the condo list are handyman work. Florida reserves electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and roofing for state-licensed contractors, the seawall and the dock pilings are a marine contractor's, and a beam is an engineer's, so we tell you who to call. The pest company treats the termites; we rebuild afterward.
Most Pompano Beach jobs are priced on the call, in writing, from a description or a photo, before anything is scheduled. A rebuilt frame, a run of dock steps or a bathroom refresh gets a look first and a written scope. What you approve is what you pay at the house.
Builder-grade brass and plated steel do not survive the canal streets. We fit stainless or coated hinges, strikes, closers and slider rollers set with stainless screws, seal the end grain on wood doors and trim, and tell you which finishes last within sight of the water, which is most of what separates a two-year repair from a ten-year one.
We answer in under three rings and most repairs are priced on the call, in writing, before anything is booked.
The technician arrives with the hardware, patching and fastening stock the usual list needs, so the first visit is the working visit.
Rot, a frame rebuild, a slider swap or a bathroom item gets a look and a written scope. You approve before work begins.
Every job is backed by our one-year workmanship warranty, and the area is clean when we leave.
No handyman license exists in Florida. State law calls anyone paid to repair or improve a structure a contractor, exempts only casual minor work under a set small amount, and keeps structural work, roofing, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical for state-licensed contractors, with Broward issuing its own certificates for the specialty trades. Kaminskiy Care and Repair is bonded and insured, every technician Kaminskiy-certified and background checked, and we do the carpentry, doors, hardware, drywall, fences, rot and finish work while the licensed trades go to the right license.
Pompano Beach builds to the Florida Building Code with the Broward amendments, under which general maintenance and repairs under a set cost go ahead without a permit as the Building Official reads them: a rehung door, hardware, a patched wall, a sill, a dock step. The city says plainly that installing or replacing an exterior door or window is structural, so a new one takes a permit and a product approval even under the 2026 state exemption, which the city decides on request, never in a flood zone, and which we do not promise.
In the high-velocity hurricane zone a replacement exterior door needs a permit and a product with a Florida or Miami-Dade approval that passed the impact tests for this zone, or a shutter over the opening; a big-box door without that approval will not pass, so we check the approval and the size before you order. Most of the canal lots east of Federal sit in a flood zone, where a repair big enough to count as a substantial improvement brings the flood rules in, which a rebuilt sill is not. The beach and Palm Aire condo buildings of three stories or more carry the state milestone inspection: the unit doors, closers, railings and trim are ours, the structural findings are the engineer's.

Yes. Near the beach and the Intracoastal we replace hinges, strikes, deadbolts, closers and slider rollers with stainless or coated parts set with stainless screws, so the door does not rust stiff again by next season.

Not maintenance and like-for-like repairs under the Broward set cost, which is most of a handyman list. Pompano Beach treats a new exterior door or window as structural, so that takes a permit and a product approval, and a job that reaches framing does too; we tell you on the call.
Yes. We replace closers that slam or will not close, swap locks and hinges, rehang unit doors so they latch and give balcony sliders new rollers and seals, to the association's rules, with the scope in writing for the board.
