Pull the old thermostat off its base and look for a wire on the C terminal. Most smart thermostats need one for steady power. No C-wire is not a problem. It is a part we bring.

If your home has line-voltage heat, like electric baseboard heaters, that calls for a line-voltage thermostat and a licensed electrician, and we tell you before you buy one.
The C-wire, or common wire, gives a smart thermostat constant power for its screen and Wi-Fi. Many older homes have no C-wire at the thermostat. We check the wiring at the wall and at the furnace or air handler. Often there is an unused wire in the cable that we can connect. If there is not, we install the power adapter your thermostat brand supplies, or run a new wire where that is practical.
Most gas furnaces, central air conditioners and heat pumps with standard 24-volt controls work with Nest, ecobee, Honeywell Home and similar thermostats. Heat pumps with auxiliary heat, two-stage systems and systems with a humidifier or dehumidifier need the right wiring and settings. Tell us what you have and we confirm compatibility before the visit, including a model you already bought.
We finish the whole job. Once the thermostat is wired and powered we connect it to your Wi-Fi, set up the app on your phone, configure the system type and set a starting schedule with you.
