Fascia, soffits, sills, door jambs and dock steps cut out and rebuilt with sound wood, sealed against the salt air. Priced in writing before we start.

Half of Pompano Beach lives on a canal, and Kaminskiy Care and Repair rebuilds the wood that the water and the salt air take: the fascia and soffits on the Intracoastal side, the sills and door jambs facing the water, the dock steps, deck boards and railing posts at the seawall, the soffits and trim on the 1950s ranches in Old Pompano and Cresthaven, the balcony trim and stair stringers on the condos at the beach and in Palm Aire. Cut to sound wood, rebuilt, primed on every face, painted to match, with the drip or the gutter end fixed. Termites are the pest company to treat; the rebuild is ours, priced in writing before anything starts.
Eight repairs, one crew, priced in writing before we start.
Salt off the Intracoastal eats the paint, the wet season soaks what the paint no longer protects, and the fungus in the wood finishes the job: Pompano Beach fascia and sills rot from the water side in. We rebuild them with sealed new wood and carry the paint over every joint.

Primed, Painted & SealedSalt air works every day of the year; the repair can be scheduled this week. Most Pompano Beach fascia, sill and jamb repairs are priced on the first call, in writing, by a Kaminskiy-certified technician; a dock, a deck or a condo railing run gets a look and a written scope.

From the water side. East of Federal Highway the salt air off the Intracoastal breaks down the paint film on fascia, sills and door frames faster than anywhere inland, and once the paint goes the daily summer rain soaks the wood. On the canal lots the dock steps and deck boards sit in spray and never dry. West of the highway the 1950s ranches rot the ordinary Broward way: clogged gutters, wet soffits, jambs on the slab, sprinklers on the trim. Either way the wood stays wet and the fungus in it grows.
Broward is one of two counties in the country where the Formosan and the Asian subterranean termite are both established; they swarm at dusk in spring and come up from wet soil in mud tubes into jambs, posts and sill plates, packing the wood with carton. The West Indian drywood termite lives in dry trim with no soil contact and leaves hard six-sided pellets under a pinhole. A licensed pest company identifies and treats; we rebuild after.
New wood goes in primed on every face before it is fastened, the end grain is sealed, the joints are caulked and the paint is carried over the joint, so the salt has no bare wood to reach. A dock step gets a sealed end and a standoff off the concrete. Filler over a rotted sill lasts one wet season by the water.
Repaint the water side on a schedule, before the paint chalks. Keep the sill joints caulked. Make sure the gutters drain away from the house and not onto the deck. Hose the salt off the water-side trim now and then. And after a storm, press the soffits and the dock steps with a screwdriver, because wind-driven spray gets where rain does not.
Canal lots, seawalls and the condos along the beach, with salt in the air every day. Fascia, sills and jambs rot on the water side, dock steps and deck boards go at the ends, and the older beachfront buildings now carry the state milestone inspection. We rebuild the wood, seal every joint and put a condo scope in writing for the board.
Ranch houses from the 1950s to the 1970s with the original fascia, soffits, carports and door frames. Gutters clog, soffits stay wet, jambs wick off the walkway, and termites find the posts. We rebuild to the original profile and get the water off the wood.
Newer homes, townhomes and the Palm Aire condos, in associations. Pergola beams, lanai door frames, balcony trim and stair stringers go soft, and the association expects a match. We rebuild the pieces, match the color and put the finish in writing for the form.
Pompano Beach is covered from the South Andrews Avenue office, and the Fort Lauderdale dry rot and wood rot repair page carries the Broward-wide picture: the county permit rule, the termite report and the flood-zone line in plain words.
A fascia board, a sill or a trim piece is priced on the call, in writing. A bigger rebuild gets a look first and a written price before anything starts.
We cut back to sound wood and probe how far the rot really goes. If it runs further than the photo showed, you hear it before we go further, with the price.
New wood primed on all sides, caulked, painted to match, and the water path that caused it fixed: the drip edge, the flashing, the gutter end, the sprinkler.
The work area is cleaned before we leave, and every rot repair carries our one-year workmanship warranty.
Pompano Beach builds to the Florida Building Code with the Broward amendments, under which general maintenance and repairs below a set cost go ahead without a permit as the Building Official reads them, and the city's own 2026 note on the new state exemption names fascia, soffit and non-structural wood rot repair as the kind of minor exterior work that can qualify, on a written request, single-family only, never in a flood zone. We do not promise that exemption; the city decides it. Rot in a rafter tail, a header or a beam is a permit and an engineer, and we say so on the call.
Selling in Pompano Beach means a licensed pest control company writes the wood-destroying organism report on the state form: live termites or beetles, the evidence, the visible damage, and the line that it is not a structural report. They treat. We rebuild the fascia, sills, door frames and dock boards on the damage list, and the inspector returns when the buyer or the lender asks. Email the report and the address and the repairs come back priced.
Most of the canal lots east of Federal Highway sit in a flood zone, where the state small-project exemption does not apply and a repair big enough to count as a substantial improvement brings the flood rules into play; a rebuilt sill or dock step is not that, and we say on the call when a job might be. The condo buildings on the beach and in Palm Aire that are three stories or more carry the state milestone inspection: the rotted railings, soffits and stairs are our work, the structural findings are the engineer.

Call 954-787-3186Fascia, sill, soffit and jamb repairs are priced on the first call and usually scheduled within days from our Fort Lauderdale office. A dock, a deck or a run of condo railing is looked at first, with the scope in writing before anything starts.
Yes, once a licensed pest company has treated. We cut out the eaten fascia, soffits, door frames, trim and the framing we can reach and rebuild it with new wood. The treatment, the tenting and the report are the pest company; the carpentry is ours.
Yes. Dock steps, deck boards, railing posts, fascia, sills and jambs are carpentry, and Kaminskiy is licensed, bonded and insured. The seawall itself and the dock pilings are not our lane, and we tell you if they have moved.
Where the wood is and how far the rot has run once it is opened. A sill at the pool door is a short job; a fascia run over a canal from a ladder is not. Text a photo and the price is in writing before anything is scheduled.
Longer than the original did, because it goes in primed on every face with the end grain sealed and the paint carried over the joint. Then we tell you which side of the house to repaint first.
Usually not for a like-for-like repair under the Broward maintenance threshold. The city names fascia, soffit and non-structural wood rot as work that can qualify for the 2026 state exemption on request, but it decides that, not us, and never in a flood zone. A rebuild into framing takes a permit, and we tell you on the call.
