Termite-eaten posts reset, pickets matched, rusted canal-side hardware replaced. Priced on the call, usually finished in one visit.

Kaminskiy Care and Repair repairs wood fences and gates across Pompano Beach, from the canal streets east of Federal Highway to Cresthaven, Kendall Green and Palm Aire. Posts eaten at the ground by termites and damp are reset in fresh concrete, broken pickets and rails are matched, and gates that sagged in the last storm are rehung square, usually in one visit. You get the price on the call, in writing, before anything is scheduled, and we keep every board that is still sound. Since 2005, from our office on South Andrews Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.
Eight repairs, one crew, priced before we come out.
Canals behind half the houses, salt air off the Intracoastal and a wet season that keeps every post damp wear a Pompano Beach fence down from the bottom. We reset the posts, match the wood, and rehang the gate so it latches with one hand before the next storm. Same fence, standing straight.

At the ground line, and from the water side. Subterranean termites and a damp base hollow a wood post at grade while the pickets above still look fine. On the canal lots east of Federal Highway, salt air takes the hinges, latches and rail screws within a few seasons, and the soft ground near a seawall lets a post drift. A storm then leans on the weakened run. The fix is new posts in concrete, coated hardware and matched boards, not a new fence.
Pompano Beach asks for a building permit to install, replace or make a major repair to a fence, with a zoning compliance permit and a survey or site plan, and it keeps a front-yard fence to four feet and a side or rear fence to six. A small like-for-like repair is maintenance. When a job needs the permit office, we tell you on the call.
Reset posts and matching pickets fix most fences for a fraction of the cost of a new one, and that is the work we do. Whole-fence replacement, vinyl, aluminum and iron are not our lane. If that is what the fence needs, we say so on the call, and we still fix the gate and the sections that can be saved.
Florida's Residential Swimming Pool Safety Act wants a pool barrier gate that opens away from the pool and closes and latches on its own, with the release on the pool side where a small child cannot reach it. That is the first thing we check on a pool fence. The gap the dog found at the bottom is a rail and a picket, fixed in the same visit.
Canal lots and seawalls, with the salt air working on every piece of steel. Hinges seize, latches stop catching and rail screws let go, and the posts nearest the water rot first. We replace the hardware with coated or stainless, reset the posts that have gone and keep the fence clear of the seawall cap, as the city requires.
Ranch houses from the 1950s to the 1970s with fences on posts set in sand or thin concrete. Termites and the wet season hollow them at grade while the pickets look fine, so the run leans and the gate drags. Resetting the failed posts brings the line back straight.
Newer streets, golf-course lots and association rules. Storm season does the damage here: one weakened post lets a long section rack in a tropical storm. We reset it, rebuild the section on the existing posts and match the profile the association expects.
We price the repair on the call, in writing, before anything is scheduled.
Posts, rails, pickets, hardware and concrete come along, so a post reset, a picket swap or a gate rehang is finished the same day we arrive.
A gate that is done gets a new single wood gate built on site, up to four feet wide. A fallen section is rebuilt on the existing posts.
The work area is cleaned before we leave, and every repair carries our one-year workmanship warranty.
Pompano Beach asks for a building permit to install, replace or make a major repair to a fence, plus a zoning compliance permit and a survey or site plan showing where it runs. A residential fence is held to four feet in the front yard and six feet in the side and rear yards, with the finished side facing out, and nothing between three and six feet tall in the ten-foot sight triangle at a driveway or corner. Canal lots have their own seawall rules. We tell you on the call when a job needs the permit office.
Florida's Residential Swimming Pool Safety Act expects a pool barrier gate to open outward, away from the pool, and to close and latch on its own with the release on the pool side out of a child's reach. If your pool gate drags open or the latch no longer catches, that is the first thing we fix.
Most single-family streets in Pompano Beach have no association; Palm Aire and the newer communities west of I-95 do. A repair that matches the existing fence rarely needs approval. A new gate, a new section or a different stain sometimes needs a form, and we can give you the materials and finish in writing for it.

Yes. Most fence and gate repairs are exactly handyman work: posts, rails, pickets, hinges and latches. Kaminskiy is licensed, bonded and insured, so a rebuilt section or a new gate is not a problem either.
It depends on three things: how many posts have failed, how much wood needs replacing, and how easy the fence is to reach. Tell us what the fence is doing, or text a photo, and we give you the price on the call, in writing, before anything is scheduled. No surprises at the house.
Yes. We reset the posts that drifted in the soft ground near the water, replace rusted hardware with coated or stainless, and keep the fence off the seawall cap, which the city does not allow anything to attach to. If the seawall itself has moved, we tell you on the call.
No. We repair wood fences and gates: posts, pickets, rails, sections, gates and staining. Whole-fence replacement, vinyl fencing, aluminum, iron work and electric gate openers are not our lane. If your fence needs one of those, we tell you on the call and still fix what can be saved.
A small like-for-like repair is maintenance. The city asks for a building permit to install, replace or make a major repair to a fence, and a zoning compliance permit for any new one. We tell you on the call which side of that line your job is on.
