Termite-eaten posts reset, pickets matched, storm-sagged gates rehung square. Priced on the call, usually finished in one visit.

Kaminskiy Care and Repair repairs wood fences and gates across Fort Lauderdale and central Broward County. Posts eaten at the ground by termites and damp are reset in fresh concrete, broken pickets and rails are matched, and gates that sagged in the last storm are rehung square, usually in one visit. You get the price on the call, in writing, before anything is scheduled, and we keep every board that is still sound. Since 2005, from our office on South Andrews Avenue downtown.
Eight repairs, one crew, priced before we come out.
Humidity, subterranean termites, salt air east of Federal Highway and a hurricane season every year wear every Fort Lauderdale fence down. We reset the posts, match the wood, and rehang the gate so it latches with one hand before the next storm. Same fence, standing straight.

Kaminskiy-certified pros finish the job with a workmanship warranty.
Every fence and gate repair carries our one-year workmanship warranty, in writing, and is done by a Kaminskiy-certified, background checked technician.
From the ground up, and from the air. Subterranean termites find a wood post at grade and hollow it from inside; the wet season keeps the base damp for half the year; and east of Federal Highway the salt air takes the hinges and latches first. Then a storm leans on the weakened run. The pickets usually look fine. The fence leans because the posts are gone.
Fort Lauderdale is stricter than most cities: a new fence, and a replaced or altered one, goes through the city's permit office with a survey and a zoning affidavit, and residential fences are limited to six feet in required yards, measured from the established grade. A like-for-like repair that keeps the same fence is maintenance. When a rebuilt section crosses into permit territory, we say so on the call.
Reset posts and matching pickets fix most fences for a fraction of the cost of a new one, and that is the work we do. Whole-fence replacement, vinyl, aluminum and iron are not our lane. If that is what the fence needs, we say so on the call, and we still fix the gate and the sections that can be saved.
Florida's Residential Swimming Pool Safety Act wants a pool barrier gate that opens away from the pool and closes and latches on its own, with the release on the pool side where a small child cannot reach it. That is the first thing we check on a pool fence. The gap the dog found at the bottom is a rail and a picket, fixed in the same visit.
Salt air gets the hardware before it gets the wood. Hinges seize, latches stop catching, and the screws holding the rails let go. The damp off the water keeps the base of each post wet, so the rot and the termites start at the ground line where nobody looks. The fix is usually a new post, new rails and coated marine-grade hardware, with the sound pickets kept.
Older homes, older fences, posts set in sand or thin concrete decades ago. Termites and the wet season hollow them at grade while the pickets above look fine, so the whole run leans and the gate drags. Resetting the failed posts brings the line back straight without replacing the fence.
Larger lots, longer runs, and a lot of pressure-treated pine on HOA streets. Storm season does the damage here: a weakened post lets a whole section rack in a tropical storm. We reset the post, rebuild the section on the existing posts and brace the gate before the next one, and we match the profile the HOA expects.
We price the repair on the call, in writing, before anything is scheduled.
Posts, rails, pickets, hardware and concrete come along, so a post reset, a picket swap or a gate rehang is finished the same day we arrive.
A gate that is done gets a new single wood gate built on site, up to four feet wide. A fallen section is rebuilt on the existing posts.
The work area is cleaned before we leave, and every repair carries our one-year workmanship warranty.
Fort Lauderdale asks for a permit to put up, replace or alter a fence, with a current survey and a zoning affidavit, and limits a residential fence to six feet in required yards, measured from the established grade; on a corner lot nothing opaque over thirty inches within twenty-five feet of the intersection. A like-for-like repair is maintenance. We tell you on the call when a job needs the permit office, and we check before building anything new.
Florida's Residential Swimming Pool Safety Act expects a pool barrier gate to open outward, away from the pool, and to close and latch on its own with the release on the pool side out of a child's reach. If your pool gate drags open or the latch no longer catches, that is the first thing we fix.
Many western Broward neighborhoods have an association, and most do not need to approve a repair that matches the existing fence. A new gate, a new section or a different stain sometimes needs a form. We can give you the materials and finish in writing for it.

Yes. Most fence and gate repairs are exactly handyman work: posts, rails, pickets, hinges and latches. Kaminskiy is licensed, bonded and insured, so a rebuilt section or a new gate is not a problem either.
It depends on three things: how many posts have failed, how much wood needs replacing, and how easy the fence is to reach. Tell us what the fence is doing, or text a photo, and we give you the price on the call, in writing, before anything is scheduled. No surprises at the house.
Yes. A panel that went over in a storm is rebuilt on the existing posts, a leaning run is re-plumbed and braced, and a gate is rehung so it latches. Tell us what went over and we price it on the call.
No. We repair wood fences and gates: posts, pickets, rails, sections, gates and staining. Whole-fence replacement, vinyl fencing, aluminum, iron work and electric gate openers are not our lane. If your fence needs one of those, we tell you on the call and still fix what can be saved.
A like-for-like repair that keeps the same fence is maintenance. Fort Lauderdale does ask for a permit to put up, replace or alter a fence, and we tell you on the call when a rebuilt section crosses that line.
Yes. We match the picket profile, the spacing and the stain. New pressure-treated boards weather to match the rest of the fence within a season, or we stain them to match on the day.
