Plantation doors live under big trees and beside pools and lakes: French doors to the lanai rub in the middle, sprinklers soak the jamb feet, heavy entry doors on the Acres ranch lots sag on hinges never sized for them. We rebuild the frame, realign the pair, fit heavy-duty hinges with long screws and seal the threshold so the next season does not undo it.

THE LISTALL DONEEvery one of these is a regular Plantation morning for a Kaminskiy-certified technician. One list, one call.

We answer in under three rings and get you priced and scheduled in minutes.

A clear, written quote with upfront pricing. You approve before work begins.

Kaminskiy-certified pros finish the job with a workmanship warranty.
Every job is backed in writing by our workmanship warranty and done by a Kaminskiy-certified, background checked technician.
Homes from the 1950s and 1960s under the oldest trees in the city, many on canals. Doors bind in frames the shade never lets dry, fascia and soffits green over, deck boards rot at the water, and the city expects a repair to match what is there. We rebuild to the original profile and keep the character.
Association streets from the 1970s to the 1990s on lake and golf-course lots, with French doors, sliders, pergolas and lanai frames. Pairs of doors go out of line, rollers flatten, beam ends check, and the association expects the color to match. We true the doors, splice the beams and put the finish in writing for the form.
Acre lots with barns, sheds, paddocks, heavy entry doors and long runs of wood. Gates pull their posts over, barn doors stop rolling, bottom courses of siding rot, and one visit with a stocked truck covers more out here than it would in town.
Shade and water. The mature oaks and ficus keep doors, fascia and trim in shadow so dew and the afternoon rain never dry off; the lakes and canals behind the houses keep the air damp; the irrigation hits the same jamb every morning. Wood swells, paint greens over, hinges sag. Small jobs, steadily, and cheaper caught early.
Doors, drywall, trim, pergolas, fences, decks, rot, caulk, screens and the barn list are handyman work. Electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and roofing belong to Florida's state-licensed contractors and a beam that carries a roof belongs to an engineer, so we say which on the call and tell you who to call. Termite treatment is the licensed pest company's; the rebuild is ours.
Most Plantation jobs are priced on the call, in writing, from a description or a photo, before anything is scheduled. A pergola, a run of barn siding or a bathroom refresh gets a look first and a written scope. What you approve is what you pay.
Jacaranda, Lauderdale West and most of the lake communities have an approved scheme. A repair painted to match needs nothing; a new door, a new color or a changed trim profile usually needs the form first, and we give you the size, style, finish and product approval in writing so it is a five-minute job.
Tell us the list, or text a photo of the worst item. Most small repairs are priced on the call, in writing, in under ten minutes.
A Kaminskiy-certified technician comes with a stocked truck and works through the list in one visit wherever the parts allow.
A door swap, a rotted frame or a bathroom refresh gets a visit and a written scope before anything starts. No surprises at the house.
The work area is left clean and every repair carries our one-year workmanship warranty, on paper.
Florida licenses contractors, not handymen: anyone paid to repair or improve a structure is a contractor under state law, casual minor work under a set small amount is exempt, and structural work, roofing, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical are reserved for state-licensed contractors, with Broward adding its own specialty certificates. Kaminskiy Care and Repair is bonded and insured with Kaminskiy-certified, background-checked technicians; we do the carpentry, doors, drywall, fences, rot and finish work and send the licensed trades to the right license.
Plantation says a permit is needed to erect, alter or repair a structure, and the Broward amendments to the Florida Building Code let general maintenance and repairs under a set cost go ahead without one when the Building Official reads them that way. A rehung door, a patched wall, a jamb or a beam end sits on the maintenance side of that line; a replacement exterior door, a new window or a rebuild into rafters does not, and we check with the Building Department before a bigger job. The 2026 state exemption is the city's call on request, and we do not promise it.
In the high-velocity hurricane zone a replacement exterior door needs a permit and a product with a Florida or Miami-Dade approval that passed the impact tests for this zone, or a shutter over the opening; a door from a big-box store without the right approval will not pass, so we check the approval and the size before you order. Plantation Acres has its own rules for the ranch lots and drainage easements, which matter for anything new and not for a rebuilt barn board, and the oldest east-side streets mostly have no association at all.

Yes. We reset the hinges, plane the meeting edges, adjust the astragal and the flush bolts and reset the strike so both doors close and lock together, then reseal them against the rain.
For carpentry, doors, drywall, fences, decks, rot and finish work, a handyman, and Kaminskiy Care and Repair is bonded and insured with Kaminskiy-certified technicians. Florida reserves electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, roofing and structural work for state-licensed contractors, and we tell you who to call for those.
Usually not for maintenance and like-for-like repairs under the Broward set cost, which is most of a handyman list, though Plantation does ask for a permit to repair a structure beyond that, so we check with the city before a bigger job. A replacement exterior door is permitted work in the hurricane zone, and we tell you on the call.
Yes. Paddock gates, barn and shed doors, bottom courses of siding, heavy entry doors and the storm damage on an outbuilding are regular calls west of Hiatus Road, and one visit with a stocked truck covers more on an acre lot than it would in town.
