Plaster in the 1940s cottages, the flood cut on a river lot, the 1950s ceiling tested before repair, the townhome shared wall and the knob hole, patched and matched. Priced in writing on the call.

Kaminskiy Care and Repair repairs walls and ceilings in Wilton Manors five minutes from our office on South Andrews Avenue: the crack along the lath in a 1940s cottage off Wilton Drive, the lower wall of a Jenada Isles house cut and replaced after the river came through the door, the sprayed 1950s ceiling in Coral Gardens with a roof stain that is sampled by a licensed lab before anyone sands it, the shared wall in a townhome after the neighbor's washer flooded, the doorknob hole, the anchor holes after a lease. Plaster stays plaster and drywall stays drywall, brought back to the finish of the room and primed, and a wet wall is opened only once its source is fixed and the meter agrees it is dry. You have the number in writing before we leave the phone, and a single visit covers most patches.
Eight repairs, one crew, priced in writing before we start.
Wilton Manors is an island city with eighty-year-old walls on it: plaster in the frame cottages around Wilton Drive, drywall over block in the 1950s and 1960s ranches, and the river on three sides. Plaster is patched as plaster, a pre-1978 cottage is handled lead-safe under the RRP rule, an older sprayed ceiling is tested first, and a flooded river-lot wall is cut above the waterline and dried before any new board goes on. The finish, sand plaster, orange peel or knockdown, is matched on a test board.

Kaminskiy-certified pros finish the job with a workmanship warranty.
Every drywall repair carries our one-year workmanship warranty, in writing, and is done by a Kaminskiy-certified, background checked technician.
The cottages of Highland Estates, Amadale and Coral Estates from the 1940s and early 1950s are often lath and plaster: a crack follows the lath, a section goes hollow where the keys broke, a corner crumbles under the doorframe. Plaster is patched with a bonding agent and a setting compound keyed into the lath and finished to the sand or skim finish around it. A drywall patch screwed into plaster is the repair that fails, and a pre-1978 cottage has its painted surfaces handled lead-safe under the RRP rule.
Jenada Isles, Coral Point and Belle Isle sit on the forks of the Middle River, the wettest ground in the city, and a surge or a king tide comes through the door. The drywall wicks water above the line you can see, so the cut goes above the high-water mark, the wet insulation comes out, the block and furring dry and meter dry, then new board goes in and the seam is finished so the line disappears. Photograph the waterline on every wall first, and keep a cut piece for the adjuster.
Almar Estates, Sunset Manors and the streets toward Andrews Avenue are block ranches from the 1950s and 1960s with orange peel over furring, sprayed ceilings and the air handler in a closet. Those ceilings predate 1980, so a licensed lab samples the texture before any scraping, and a licensed abatement contractor clears it first if the sample says so. The ring under the handler, the stain at the eave after a storm and the furring-seam crack are the everyday calls.
Your hand is the gauge. Damage that hides under it takes a backed patch; damage that spills past it but would sit under a laptop takes a paper patch; a poster's worth takes a backer with a new section cut in; and a wall gone soft, or a whole sheet, takes new board, every seam taped, fixed to the furring on a block wall since there is no stud cavity to screw into. Whatever the size, it gets three coats, a sanding, the finish of the room and primer.
Homes on the forks of the Middle River with the lowest ground in the city: the flood cut after a surge, the damp band at the base of a wall after a king tide, rust at the corner bead on the water side, and the 1950s sprayed ceiling tested before anyone touches it. Much of this ground sits in a flood zone, which matters for the claim and the permit; we say so on the call. Dry, cut, replace, match, prime.
The 1940s and 1950s cottages, many of them frame with lath and plaster, small shaded lots, and eighty years of patches in three materials. Plaster patched as plaster, keyed into the lath and finished to the sand or skim texture around it; painted surfaces handled lead-safe under the RRP rule where the house predates 1978; the knob hole and the picture-rail anchors done on the same visit.
Block ranches from the 1950s and 1960s with orange peel over furring and the handler in a closet, and the townhome communities with knockdown, shared walls and associations. The ring under the handler, the furring-seam crack, the shared wall repaired on your side with the neighbor told, and the rental turnover by the room, primed for the scheme color where there is one.
Wilton Manors is five minutes from the South Andrews Avenue office, and the Fort Lauderdale drywall repair page has the Broward-wide picture: the county permit rule, the storm-water claim and the condo statute in plain words.
Hold your hand over the damage and tell us: smaller than your hand, bigger than your hand, poster-sized, or a whole sheet. We price it on the call, in writing, in under ten minutes.
Water damage is repaired after the source is fixed. If the stain is still wet we tell you who fixes the leak, and we schedule the drywall for when it is dry.
Backing where it needs it, new board cut to fit, every seam taped, three coats of compound sanded smooth, your texture matched, then primer.
Dust contained and the room left clean. Most patches are finished in one visit; a full sheet may need a short second visit for the final coat, scheduled before we leave.
Wilton Manors builds to the Florida Building Code as Broward adopts it, and the county amendment lets general maintenance and repairs under a set cost go ahead without a permit when the Building Official reads them that way; the state code adds that ordinary minor repairs may be made with the building official's approval and no permit as long as no wall is cut away and nothing structural is touched. A plaster or drywall patch, a replaced sheet or a ceiling repair in an existing wall is that. We did not find a city handout on interior repairs, so for a bigger job we ask the building office first. The 2026 state exemption for small single-family work is a request the city decides, never in a flood zone, which covers the river lots, and we do not promise it.
Most of Wilton Manors was painted before 1978 and much of it was sprayed before 1980, which means two licensed trades sit ahead of ours on an older house: paint is worked lead-safe under the EPA's RRP rule, and a sprayed ceiling is sampled by a licensed lab, with a licensed abatement contractor first if the sample calls for it, before a single scrape. The plaster underneath is repaired as plaster, and we name the wall on the first look. On this island that is routine, one extra line on the call.
Water that came up off the river is a flood claim, under a flood policy, with its own adjuster; water from a burst line, a washer hose or a storm through the roof is the homeowner policy, and a named storm may carry the hurricane deductible. Photograph the waterline and the source before cleanup, keep a piece of the wet board, keep every invoice, and expect the adjuster to ask when it started. The source is fixed, the wall dries and meters dry, then we replace the board; our scope is written on its own line.

Call 954-787-3186Five minutes separate the island from the South Andrews Avenue office, so a Wilton Manors wall is usually on the schedule within days of the call, with the number already written down. A drywall patch is one visit in most cases; a lath-plaster repair, or a river-lot wall that has to dry out first, is booked as two.
A 1940s cottage off Wilton Drive almost always has lath and plaster, and a knock tells you: dense and solid rather than hollow. We repair it in kind, with a bonding agent and a setting compound keyed back into the lath and brought up to the sand or skim texture of the room, and we tell you what the wall is on the first look rather than guessing on the phone.
The board above the waterline, because drywall wicks water higher than you can see; we meter it, cut above the wet board, remove the insulation, let the block and furring dry, then fit new board and finish the seam. Photograph the waterline on every wall before anyone cuts, and keep a cut piece for the flood adjuster.
Once a licensed lab has looked at it. Ceiling texture from before 1980 can contain asbestos, so the lab samples it first, a licensed abatement contractor goes in if the result says so, and only then do our technicians scrape, patch and prime. An untested old ceiling never gets sanded by us.
The drywall on your side is yours and we repair it; the wall itself and water from the neighbor are the documents' and the association's business, and in a condominium the statute puts the drywall on the association's policy and the paint on yours. We write the scope as its own line so the association or the adjuster can read it.
Size, water, material and finish: hand-sized, poster-sized or a whole sheet; dry, leak-damaged or flooded; drywall or plaster; orange peel, knockdown or sand finish. Say which on the call and the price is in writing in under ten minutes.
It is the call we like. A single hole, a single crack or a crushed corner gets the same technician and the same three coats as a full sheet, and a Wilton Drive rental with fifteen anchor holes in one room is priced as one line item, filled, textured and primed for the turnover.
