Posts reset, pickets matched to your association's profile, sagging gates rehung square. Priced on the call, usually finished in one visit.

Kaminskiy Care and Repair repairs wood fences and gates across Mission Viejo, from the lake communities and Casta del Sol to Pacific Hills, Canyon Crest and the Oso Parkway streets. Posts the sprinklers have rotted are reset in fresh concrete, pickets are matched to the profile your association expects, and gates that drag are rehung square, usually in one visit. You get the price on the call, in writing, before anything is scheduled, and we keep every board that is still sound. Since 2005, from our Orange County office on Michelson Drive.

Fifty years of sprinklers, inland sun and association standards on every street shape a Mission Viejo fence. We reset the posts, match the wood and the stain the HOA expects, and rehang the gate so it latches with one hand. Same fence, standing straight.

Age and water, on a planned-community scale. Mission Viejo went up from the mid-1960s through the 1990s, and a lot of its fences stand on the original posts, set in soil or thin concrete and watered by sprinklers twice a day ever since. The post rots at the ground line while the pickets above still look fine, so the run leans and the gate drags. The inland sun then splits the boards that are left. The fix is new posts in concrete and matched boards, not a new fence.
A like-for-like repair needs nothing. California exempts fences up to seven feet from a building permit, and Mission Viejo's code keeps a fence, wall or hedge in a front or street-side setback to 42 inches and the rest to six feet, measured from the finished grade. The approval that matters here is usually the association's, and a matching repair rarely needs one.
Reset posts and matching pickets fix most fences for a fraction of the cost of a new one, and that is the work we do. Whole-fence replacement, vinyl and iron are not our lane. If that is what the fence needs, we say so on the call, and we still fix the gate and the sections that can be saved.
A pool gate should close and latch on its own, with the latch release at least 60 inches up. That is the standard in California's Swimming Pool Safety Act, and it is the first thing we check on a pool fence. The gap the dog found at the bottom is a rail and a picket, fixed in the same visit.
Fences from the late 1960s and 1970s on posts that have spent fifty years in irrigated soil. The posts go at the ground line while the pickets still look fine, so the run leans. We reset the failed posts and match the dog-ear or board-on-board profile the association uses.
1980s redwood and cedar that the sun has grayed and split, on posts that are starting to go. A rail screw backs out, a picket cracks, the gate sags on its hinges. One-visit fixes, with the stain matched so the repair passes the HOA's eye.
Slope lots and long side-yard runs that carry their own weight downhill, with newer builder fences set shallow. One rotted post lets a section rack. We reset it deeper in concrete, re-plumb the run and brace the gate so it stops dragging on the walk.
We price the repair on the call, in writing, before anything is scheduled.
Posts, rails, pickets, hardware and concrete come along, so a post reset, a picket swap or a gate rehang is finished the same day we arrive.
A gate that is done gets a new single wood gate built on site, up to four feet wide. A fallen section is rebuilt on the existing posts.
The work area is cleaned before we leave, and every repair carries our one-year workmanship warranty.
California exempts fences up to seven feet from a building permit. Mission Viejo's code keeps a fence, wall or hedge to six feet on most of a lot, measured from the finished grade, and to 42 inches in a required front or street-side setback and in the traffic sight area of a corner lot. A like-for-like repair changes nothing, and we check before building anything new.
California's Swimming Pool Safety Act expects a pool barrier gate to close and latch on its own, with the latch release at least 60 inches above the ground. If your pool gate drags open or the latch no longer catches, that is the first thing we fix.
Nearly every Mission Viejo home is in an association, and most do not need to approve a repair that matches the existing fence. A new gate, a new section or a different stain sometimes needs a form. We can give you the materials and finish in writing for it.

Yes. Most fence and gate repairs are exactly handyman work: posts, rails, pickets, hinges and latches. Kaminskiy is licensed, bonded and insured, so a rebuilt section or a new gate is not a problem either.
It depends on three things: how many posts have failed, how much wood needs replacing, and how easy the fence is to reach. Tell us what the fence is doing, or text a photo, and we give you the price on the call, in writing, before anything is scheduled. No surprises at the house.
A repair that matches the existing fence almost always does. We match the picket profile, the spacing and the stain your association uses, and new boards weather to match within a season or are stained to match on the day. If the association wants paperwork, we put the materials and finish in writing.
No. We repair wood fences and gates: posts, pickets, rails, sections, gates and staining. Whole-fence replacement, vinyl fencing, iron work and electric gate openers are not our lane. If your fence needs one of those, we tell you on the call and still fix what can be saved.
Not a like-for-like repair. California exempts fences up to seven feet from a building permit, and Mission Viejo keeps fences to six feet, 42 inches in a front setback. A taller fence has limits, and we tell you that on the call.
