Lap siding rotting along the front of an old cottage east of the tracks, plywood gables coming apart on a Leisureville villa, Hardie shingles blown off a lakefront gable out by Lawrence Road: rebuilt in the same profile and painted to the house or to the association's scheme.

Kaminskiy Care and Repair repairs and replaces siding and exterior wood across Boynton Beach, Lake Worth Beach, Lantana, Delray Beach and the communities out to Lawrence Road: the lap siding of the 1920s to 1950s frame cottages east of I-95, the plywood and T1-11 gables and wood fascia of the 1970s and 1980s villas and golf communities, and the fiber cement lap and shingle siding on the newer lake homes. Summer rain, overflowing gutters, storms and termites decide where it fails. We rebuild it in the same profile, prime every face, and paint it to the house or the association's scheme. An EPA Lead-Safe Certified firm, priced in writing on the call: 561-220-5884.
Three eras of Boynton, three kinds of siding.
On most Boynton Beach houses the siding trouble starts at the roof edge. Forty years of oak leaves and palm debris clog the gutters, the summer storms overflow them, and the water runs down the fascia, into the soffit and over the top of the siding on the gable. The wood stays wet for days. We rebuild the fascia, the soffit and the gable siding together, and fix the gutter end that caused it, so the next storm runs off instead of in.

Walk-Through & WarrantyWe take these calls across southern Palm Beach County every week, and the list grows after every storm. A photo of the wall or the roof edge is usually enough to price the repair in writing on the call; when rafters or wall framing may be involved, we look first.

We name the siding, tell you whether the city, the county or an association has a say, and price the repair in writing.

Rotted fascia, soffit and siding come off, the rafter ends and framing are checked, and you see what the water did.

New wood and siding in the same profile, every face primed, painted to the scheme, and the gutter end corrected.
Every job is backed in writing by our workmanship warranty and done by a Kaminskiy-certified, background checked technician.
East of I-95, the oldest cottages and houses carry wood lap siding. Between I-95 and Congress, the villas, golf homes and 55-plus communities of the 1970s and 1980s often carry plywood or T1-11 on their gables over stucco walls. Out toward Lawrence Road, the newer lake homes carry fiber cement lap or shingles on gables and bump-outs. We name yours from a photo.
Plywood and T1-11 are layers of veneer glued together. Once water gets into the bottom edge or an unpainted cut, the layers swell and separate, and the panel goes soft from the bottom up. Patching it rarely lasts. We replace the panel, seal the cut edges and the bottom, add a drip edge where the gable meets the wall, and paint it.
Fiber cement shrugs off rot and termites, but a hard gust or flying debris can crack or pull off shingles and boards, especially on a gable that faces the open lake. Replacement pieces are cut and fastened to the maker's schedule for the wind zone, the joints sealed and the new pieces painted to blend.
Clean the gutters before June and after the big storms, make sure each downspout runs away from the wall, keep sprinklers off the siding, recaulk where the gable siding meets the stucco, and repaint the fascia when the paint starts to chalk.
Boynton Beach grew in three bands: the old town by the Intracoastal, the villas and golf communities between I-95 and Congress, and the lake communities out past Lawrence Road. Each band put siding in a different place, and each has a different rule book for repairing it.
The oldest houses in the city, some of them wood frame cottages with lap siding, most block with wood fascia and trim, a few blocks from the Intracoastal. The lowest boards and the corner boards rot first, and drywood termites take the old trim. These houses predate 1978, so the paint is tested first and the work is done lead-safe by an EPA Lead-Safe Certified firm.
Villas, golf homes and 55-plus communities from the 1970s and 1980s, stucco walls with plywood or T1-11 gables and long runs of wood fascia. Forty years of gutters overflow onto the gables, the panels delaminate and the fascia rots behind. We rebuild them to the association scheme and fix the gutter end that caused it.
Newer homes with fiber cement lap or shingle gables, many with a Boynton Beach address in the unincorporated county. Storm gusts off the lakes crack and pull off shingles, and the trim rots where it meets the stucco. We match the profile and color and tell you which rule book the address follows.
Almost always. The damage gathers at the roof edge, on the gables and at the lowest boards, and the walls in between are usually stucco or sound siding. We replace what failed, check the rafter ends and framing, and match the profile and color. When framing is soft, we show you before going further.
It depends on whose address it is. Inside the city, the county chapter of the Florida Building Code lets the building official approve an ordinary minor repair without a permit if no wall, beam or load-bearing support is cut. In the unincorporated county, the county's own list says a minor siding, soffit or fascia repair under a set value needs no permit when nothing structural is involved. Re-siding is a permit either way.
We price it in writing from a photo before anything is scheduled. How much fascia, soffit and siding has failed, whether the profile is stocked, and how much painting it takes to match the scheme all move the number. No percentage markups.
Florida has no handyman license. Paid repair of a structure is contracting unless it is casual, minor work under a set small amount, and structure, roofing and the licensed trades go to state-licensed contractors. Kaminskiy Care and Repair is bonded and insured, and we tell you on the call which license your job needs.
We name the siding, check whether the address is city, county or association, and price the repair in writing.
Rotted fascia, soffit and siding come off, the gutter is set aside, and the rafter ends and framing are checked.
New fascia, vented soffit and siding in the same profile, cut edges sealed, every face primed, the gutter rehung to drain.
Painted to the house or the scheme, the site cleaned, and the photos and the one-year workmanship warranty sent.
A Boynton Beach mailing address can be inside the city, in the unincorporated county, or in one of the associations from Leisureville to the lake communities, and each has a say on a siding repair. The city follows the county chapter's minor-repair rule; the county's own list exempts minor siding, soffit and fascia repairs under a set value; associations set the color and the material. We check all three on the call.
Replacing a wall or a gable of siding is permitted work in the city and the county. Palm Beach County is in the wind-borne debris region, so the new siding must carry a Florida product approval and be fastened to its approved schedule. We confirm the approval and the fastening before anything is ordered.
When a Boynton Beach home sells, a licensed pest control company writes the wood-destroying organism report on the state form; it covers termites, beetles and wood-decaying fungi, and it is not a structural damage report. We repair the siding, fascia and trim it lists. Homes built before 1978 may carry lead paint: Kaminskiy Care and Repair is an EPA Lead-Safe Certified firm, so the paint is tested and the work contained and cleaned to that standard.

Call 561-220-5884Most of it can be repaired. In Boynton Beach the damage gathers at the roof edge, on the gables and along the lowest boards, and the rest of the house is usually stucco or sound siding. We replace the failed fascia, soffit and siding, check the rafter ends and framing, and match the profile and color. A full re-side is rare.
It is almost always plywood or T1-11, and water has reached its bottom edge or an unpainted cut, usually from an overflowing gutter above. The glued layers swell and separate and the panel goes soft. We replace the panel, seal its edges, add a drip edge where it meets the stucco, rebuild the fascia if it rotted too, and fix the gutter.
We price it in writing from a photo before anything is scheduled. How much fascia, soffit and siding has failed, whether the profile is stocked, and how much painting it takes to match the scheme all move the number. A few shingles on a gable is a small line; a gable with fascia and soffit is a larger one. No percentage markups.
For a minor repair, usually not, but it depends on whether the address is in the city or the unincorporated county, and each has its own rule. Re-siding a wall or a gable is a permit either way, with a Florida-approved product. We check your address on the call and tell you what applies.
A repair painted to match the existing scheme rarely needs a form. A change of material, profile or color usually does. We put the material, profile and finish in writing so you can send it to the board, and we schedule around the community's work hours.
Only for casual, minor work under a set small amount; past that, Florida treats it as contracting, and structure, roofing and the licensed trades go to state-licensed contractors. Kaminskiy Care and Repair is bonded and insured, and we tell you on the call which license your job needs. Call 561-220-5884.
Yes. Replacement pieces are fastened to the product's approved schedule for the wind zone, which usually means more fasteners than you would expect, set where the maker says. That is what keeps the next gust off the lake from taking them again.
