Sun-split board-and-batten on the wine-country barns, bleached T1-11 on the 1980s acre lots, cracked fiber cement gables on the newer tracts and the fascia the west sun cooks: replaced in the same profile and finished to stand up to the heat.

Kaminskiy Care and Repair repairs and replaces siding across Temecula, Murrieta and Menifee: the board-and-batten of the wine-country barns and estates, the cedar and T1-11 of the 1980s homes on the Meadowview and Los Ranchitos acre lots, the fiber cement (Hardie) gables and accents on the newer tracts, and the wood fascia and trim on every stucco house in the valley. Failed boards are cut out, the paper and flashing behind them lapped so the wall drains, and new siding fitted in the same profile, primed or pre-stained on every face and finished with coatings made for the inland sun. A licensed siding contractor (CSLB #1106209) and an EPA Lead-Safe Certified firm, from our office on Remington Avenue, every repair priced in writing on the call: 951-419-4481.
Wine country, the acre lots and the planned communities.
In the Temecula Valley the siding fails on the side that faces the afternoon: paint and stain bake off, boards cup and split, caulk shrinks out of the joints, and the next winter rain or the drip line finishes the job at the bottom. We replace the boards or panels that have gone, back-prime or pre-stain every face, use coatings rated for high sun, and set the bottom course above the irrigation so the repair outlasts the summers.

Walk-Through & WarrantyWe take these calls every week from Murrieta to the wine country. Text a photo and most siding repairs are priced on the call, in writing; when the damage may reach the sheathing, we look first and put the scope on paper before anything is scheduled.

Tell us the street or the estate and what you see. Most repairs are priced in writing from the photo, with the profile and the finish named.

The failed boards come off, the sheathing and paper are read with a moisture meter, and you see the photos before new material goes on.

New siding in the same profile, primed or stained on every face, flashed, set above the irrigation and finished with a high-sun coating.
Every job is backed in writing by our workmanship warranty and done by a Kaminskiy-certified, background checked technician.
Board-and-batten is wide vertical boards with narrow strips over the joints, on barns, guest houses and modern farmhouse fronts. T1-11 is a four-by-eight plywood sheet with vertical grooves, common on the 1980s ranch homes. Fiber cement (Hardie) shows up as lap or board-and-batten accents on the gables of the newer tracts and cracks rather than rots. Wood fascia and rafter tails sit on almost every stucco house. We name yours from a photo.
Repair, almost always: the sun and the water work on one face, usually the west or south, and on the bottom courses. When T1-11 has delaminated across a whole wall, or a barn has lost most of its paint and boards on the weather side, re-siding that face is the honest answer, in new T1-11, board-and-batten or fiber cement, and we price both in writing.
A board primed on the face only cups in the first summer, a dark color on the west wall bakes, caulk that is not rated for heat shrinks out of the joint, and a bottom course that touches the drip line rots from below. We back-prime or pre-stain every piece, recommend a coating rated for high sun, and keep the new siding clear of the irrigation.
Turn the sprinklers and the drip emitters away from the walls, keep the soil and the bark a few inches below the bottom course, recaulk the trim joints each spring before the heat, and repaint the west and south faces on a shorter cycle than the others. A board this year is a wall in five.
The Temecula Valley is mostly stucco built since the 1980s, but the wood is where the work is: the barns, guest houses and farmhouse fronts of wine country, the cedar and T1-11 of the first acre-lot neighborhoods, Old Town's wood buildings, and the fascia and fiber cement trim on the tracts. The sun and the irrigation decide what fails first.
Estates, barns and guest houses in board-and-batten and cedar, and 1980s ranch homes in T1-11 on large lots with drip lines along every wall. The west faces bake, the paint and stain come off in a few summers, and the bottom of the siding stays wet from the irrigation. Much of wine country is county land, so the permit counter is Riverside County's, and there is no association to ask.
Wood-sided buildings from the ranch-town days, older houses in lap and board siding, and the 1960s single-story homes of Sun City with wood accents and trim. These are the valley's pre-1978 houses, so the old paint is tested first and the work is done lead-safe by an EPA Lead-Safe Certified firm, and the repair keeps the boards and the profile the street is known for.
Stucco homes from the 1990s on with wood fascia and rafter tails, and newer elevations with fiber cement lap or board-and-batten on the gables and porches. The fascia checks on the west eaves, the fiber cement cracks at nails and joints, and every association has a color scheme. A repair painted to the scheme rarely needs a form; a new material or color usually does.
Almost always repaired. Valley siding fails on the sunny faces and at the bottom where the water reaches it, while the rest of the wall stays sound. The exception is T1-11 that has delaminated across a whole wall or a barn whose boards have weathered through on the weather side: that face is re-sided, with new paper and flashing lapped in behind it.
On three counts. The profile: batten width and spacing, T1-11 groove spacing, fiber cement lap reveal or board width. The texture: rough-sawn cedar, smooth or grained fiber cement. The finish: stain matched to weathered cedar, or paint matched from a chip or the association code and carried to a corner. On a tract home the color is in the association's file, and we work from it.
It is priced on the call, in writing, from a photo. Four things move the number: how much siding has failed, how high it is (a gable or a barn wall is a ladder or lift day), what is behind it, and how much finishing it takes to make the repair disappear. The materials and the coating are named on the quote, with no percentage markups.
An unlicensed handyman may take a job only when labor and materials together come to less than one thousand dollars and no permit is needed (Business and Professions Code 7048, raised by AB 2622 in 2025). A barn wall, a gable or a run of fascia is usually past that line. Kaminskiy Care and Repair holds a B general building license (CSLB #1106209), is bonded and insured, and the number checks on the CSLB site.
We name the siding, say whether the city, the county or an association has a say, and price the repair in writing. A big soft area gets a look first.
Boards or panels come off to sound wood, the sheathing and paper are read with a moisture meter, and the photos are yours before anything new goes on.
Paper and flashing lapped so water runs out, new siding primed or stained on every face, the bottom course set above the drip line, fastened tight.
A coating rated for high sun, carried to a corner or trim line, the site cleaned, the photos and the one-year workmanship warranty sent.
Temecula and Menifee build to the California Residential Code, which asks for no application for an ordinary repair that cuts no wall or structural member, and neither city posts a separate exempt sheet, so we ask the counter before anything larger. Murrieta's building bulletin lists minor repair work among the jobs that need no permit. Much of wine country is Riverside County land with the county's counter. A few boards in kind is a repair everywhere; a re-sided wall is checked first.
Redhawk, Paloma del Sol, Wolf Creek, Harveston, Bear Creek and most of the tracts have associations with color schemes: a repair painted to the scheme rarely needs a form, a new material or color sometimes does, and we put the specification in writing. Murrieta's western hills and parts of the county land around the valley sit in mapped fire hazard zones, where a re-sided wall goes on in an ignition-resistant material such as fiber cement; we check the map for the address.
Old Town, Historic Downtown Murrieta and Sun City hold most of the valley's homes built before 1978, which may carry lead paint under the newer coats. Kaminskiy Care and Repair is an EPA Lead-Safe Certified firm: the paint is tested before boards are cut, the work area is contained and the cleanup is checked before we leave.

Call 951-419-4481Repaired, on most valley homes. The sun works on the west and south faces and the irrigation on the bottom courses, while the rest of the wall stays sound. We cut out the failed boards or panels, check the paper and sheathing, fit new material in the same profile and finish it for the heat. A face is re-sided only when T1-11 has delaminated across it or a barn's weather side has worn through, and we say so on the call.
Yes. A few boards and battens on a barn, two T1-11 panels at the bottom of a wall, a cracked fiber cement gable board: the new pieces match the width, the groove spacing or the reveal, are primed or stained on every side and finished so the repair blends. Call 951-419-4481 or text a photo and we price it in minutes.
It is priced on the call, in writing, from a photo of the wall. The number moves with how much siding has failed, how high it is, what is behind it, and how much painting or staining it takes to make the repair disappear. A few boards at ground level is a small line; a barn wall or a gable with new trim is a larger one. Materials and the coating are named on the quote, with no percentage markups.
Only a small job. California lets an unlicensed handyman take work when labor and materials together are less than one thousand dollars and no permit is needed (Business and Professions Code 7048, as raised by AB 2622 in 2025). A gable, a barn wall or a run of fascia usually passes that line. Kaminskiy Care and Repair is a licensed B general building contractor (CSLB #1106209), bonded and insured.
Because the afternoon sun bakes the paint and stain off the west and south walls, the boards cup and split once the finish is gone, and caulk not rated for the heat shrinks out of the joints. The irrigation then finishes the bottom course. A lasting repair primes or stains every face of the new wood, uses a coating rated for high sun, and keeps the siding clear of the drip line.
Not for an ordinary repair that replaces a few boards like for like. Temecula and Menifee follow the California Residential Code's ordinary-repair rule, and Murrieta's bulletin lists minor repair work as needing no permit. Re-siding a wall, wine-country work on county land, or a re-sided wall in a mapped fire hazard zone is checked with the right counter first, and we pull the permit when one is needed.
Yes. We match the profile first, then the color from the association's code or a chip, and carry the finish to a corner or a trim line so the eye reads one surface. A repair finished to the approved scheme rarely needs a form; a new material or a new color usually does, and we write the specification for the committee.
