Humidity stains at the base of a block wall, the ceiling under a condo neighbor, the knob hole, the room of anchor holes: patched, textured and primed from our office on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard. Priced in writing on the call.

Kaminskiy Care and Repair patches, finishes and texture matches drywall in West Palm Beach homes from an office on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard: the brown stain spreading up from the baseboard of a block wall after the wet season, the ceiling ring under the AC air handler, the condo ceiling that took the upstairs neighbor's water heater, the plaster crack in a 1920s El Cid house, the doorknob hole and the forty anchor holes a tenant left in Ibis. New board where the old is soft, every seam taped, three coats of compound, the knockdown or orange peel matched and primer. Water damage waits for the source to be fixed and the board to meter dry. The price is in writing on the call and most patches are finished in one visit. Since 2023 we have completed 44 repair visits on 35 West Palm Beach homes.
Eight repairs, one crew, priced in writing before we start.
West Palm Beach walls get hurt by water that comes from three directions: humidity pushing through the block from outside, the AC and the bath dripping from above, and the storm that drives rain under a door or a window once a season. Add a doorknob with no stop and a gallery wall of anchors. We dry it, cut out what is soft, tape and finish it, and match the texture, knockdown in the gated west, orange peel in the midcentury streets, a smooth skim in the condos downtown.

Kaminskiy-certified pros finish the job with a workmanship warranty.
Every drywall repair carries our one-year workmanship warranty, in writing, and is done by a Kaminskiy-certified, background checked technician.
Humidity, more than anything. Most houses here are concrete block with furring strips and drywall on the inside face, and from June to October the block holds water that pushes inward as vapor; it shows as a chalky, tide-marked stain along the bottom foot of an exterior wall or a soft spot behind a dresser. The air handler and the bath above drip from the other direction, and once a season a storm drives rain under a door or around a window. Cracks are different: a 1920s plaster house in El Cid cracks at the lath, a 1990s house west of the turnpike cracks at the window corners as it settles. We say which you have before any compound goes on.
The gated communities west of I-95 from the 1990s on carry knockdown, with some orange peel and a smooth skim in the remodels; the 1950s and 1960s block ranches of Northwood Hills and Southland Park carry a tighter orange peel on half-inch board and sprayed ceilings from before 1980 that a licensed lab tests before anyone disturbs them; the pre-war houses of El Cid, Flamingo Park, Grandview Heights and Old Northwood are often plaster on lath, patched as plaster with a setting compound and a bonding agent. Each finish is matched on a test board against your wall before the repair is textured.
A stain is a symptom, and the source is fixed first: the AC company clears the condensate line, the plumber fixes the supply hose, the roofer seals the flashing, the association deals with the unit above. Then the board has to read dry on the meter, and if it does not it comes out, because new drywall over a wet cavity stains again by August. A small dry spot of mildew we cut out; anything larger, or a wall that stayed wet for days, is a licensed mold remediation company's job first, and we say so on the call.
Smaller than your hand: a backed patch. Bigger than your hand and smaller than a laptop: a paper patch. Poster-sized: a framed backer and a new section. A water-softened area, a flood cut after a storm, or anything larger: a full sheet screwed to the furring or the studs with every seam taped. Three coats, sanding, texture and primer are the same on all four. On a block wall the furring behind the board is checked for rot before the new sheet goes on, and a foil-faced insulation board that got wet is replaced with it.
Frame and Mediterranean Revival houses from the 1920s to the 1950s near the Intracoastal, with plaster on wood lath, plaster over block in the stucco houses, and sixty years of patches in three materials. Cracks follow the lath, the plaster goes hollow where the keys broke, and the salt air rusts the corner bead. Plaster is patched as plaster, drywall as drywall, and a pre-1978 painted surface is handled lead-safe by an EPA-certified crew. Interior work needs no historic review.
Block ranch homes from the 1950s and 1960s with furring strips and half-inch board, orange peel on the walls and sprayed ceilings from before 1980 that a licensed lab tests before anyone sands them. The damage is the humidity stain along the bottom of an exterior wall, the ceiling ring under the air handler that was retrofitted into a closet, and the wall the plumber opened to reach the galvanized supply line. We patch to match and prime.
Gated communities from the 1990s through the 2010s with knockdown texture, tall entries, second-floor baths over the kitchen, and association color schemes. Settling cracks at the window corners, the knob hole in the kids' hallway, the laundry hose that let go while the owners were up north for the summer, and move-out walls in the rental streets with anchor holes by the room. Knockdown is matched with the hopper and knocked down to the width the builder used.
Hold your hand over the damage and tell us: smaller than your hand, bigger than your hand, poster-sized, or a whole sheet. We price it on the call, in writing, in under ten minutes.
Water damage is repaired after the source is fixed. If the stain is still wet we tell you who fixes the leak, and we schedule the drywall for when it is dry.
Backing where it needs it, new board cut to fit, every seam taped, three coats of compound sanded smooth, your texture matched, then primer.
Dust contained and the room left clean. Most patches are finished in one visit; a full sheet may need a short second visit for the final coat, scheduled before we leave.
The City of West Palm Beach says plainly that painting and flooring in a house need no permit, and the Florida Building Code lists painting, papering and similar finish work as exempt; a drywall patch, a replaced sheet in an existing wall or a ceiling repair is finish work and an ordinary repair. A new opening, a removed wall or anything that touches framing or the fire-rated wall to the garage is a different job, and we say so before the work rather than after. The state's new small-job exemption is not something we promise: the county holds that every address in Palm Beach County sits in a flood hazard area, where it does not apply.
A supply hose that burst while you were away is the kind of sudden discharge a homeowner policy usually covers, often under its own water deductible; a stain that grew for months from a sweating condensate line or a block wall that has wicked for years usually falls under wear and maintenance, and storm surge is flood, which a homeowner policy does not cover at all. The adjuster decides, not us. Photograph the stain and the source the day you find it, keep the AC or plumbing invoice, and we write the drywall scope on its own line so it reads cleanly beside theirs. We do not fix the leak; the board is dried and metered before new drywall goes in.
In a house built before 1978 the paint may carry lead, and a ceiling sprayed before 1980 may carry asbestos: painted surfaces are handled lead-safe by an EPA-certified crew, and an older ceiling is sampled by a licensed lab first, with abatement by a licensed contractor before our patch. In the condos downtown and along Flagler, Florida's condominium statute puts the building's original drywall under the association's policy and the paint and wall coverings on the owner, and water from the unit above is settled by the declaration; we repair your ceiling after the source is fixed and write the scope so the board can read it.

Call 561-220-5884We answer in under three rings and the office is on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, so usually within days. The price is in writing on the call; most patches are finished in one visit, and a full sheet or a flood cut may need a short second visit for the final coat, scheduled before we leave.
Yes, and plaster too. Knockdown is sprayed and knocked down with the width of knife the original finisher used; orange peel is a matter of mix, pressure and distance; a smooth skim gets a wider feather and a check in raking light. Our technicians test on a scrap board against your wall before they texture the repair, so the patch does not show from the doorway.
Not until the humidity has somewhere else to go. The stain is vapor pushing through the block from outside, and a patch over it is back by the next wet season. We look at the grade, the sprinkler and the stucco outside, let the wall dry and meter it, then cut out the soft board, replace the wet insulation board behind it and finish it to match. A wall that stays wet for days is a licensed mold remediation company's call first.
After the AC company has cleared the condensate line or replaced the pan, yes. The stained section comes out once the ceiling reads dry, the joists are checked, new board goes up, taped, three coats, textured and primed. A still-wet or sagging ceiling is priced on the call after a look, not from the menu.
Textured, primed and paint-ready. Painting the wall is our painting crew's job and can be booked on the same call; if you are rolling the room yourself the primer is already on and the texture already matches.
Four things you can see yourself: the size against your hand, whether water was involved, the finish on the wall (knockdown, orange peel, smooth or plaster) and the ceiling height. Tell us those on the call and the price comes back in writing in under ten minutes, before anything is scheduled.
Yes, and it is the most common call we take. One hole, one crack, one stained corner is a quick visit, and a room of up to fifteen nail and anchor holes is a menu item of its own, ready for the turnover paint.
